The outstanding Ilesha Choir are performing a concert on 23rd March in aid of The Well. Tickets are now on sale at £6 each and can be purchased from The Well or from Alison in Cancer Services at Barnsley Hospital.
The Well at The Core is a place for cancer patients offering complementary therapies. ‘Our therapies include oriental massage, reiki, and beauty therapies, brow and lash enhancements and a tailor-made service to teach people how to tie scarves and fit hats and wigs. The Well also offers advice on how to look after your scalp and hair during and after treatment for cancer’.
The Well is highly praised by patients ‘The atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door is one of peace, calm and a safe haven. The staff and volunteers are wonderful and so caring, thoughtful and professional. Just being able to talk to someone whilst having a relaxing treatment is so welcoming.’
