Barnsley Hospital Charity are organising an event you do not want to miss!

 On Friday 11th May 2018 we are giving our supporters the chance to Stand on the wing of a 1940’s Boeing Stearman Biplane flown by one of the most experienced Display pilots in the world. We promise you one of the most unusual, exciting and breathtaking events in the UK. You will complete a variety of flypasts and manoeuvres at speeds of up to 130mph with the highlight being a dive from 500ft and a zoom climb with a final “Run and Break” before landing.

 It will be the most intense experience of your life!

Who your sponsorship will help?

Barnsley Hospital Charity operates to directly support the care and needs of Barnsley Hospital patients, and their families. Barnsley Hospital provides a full range of district hospital services to the local community and surrounding area. These include emergency department services, outpatient clinics, inpatient services, and maternity and children’s services.

The charity also provides a number of specialised services, including cancer and surgical services, in conjunction with Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. All healthcare services are funded from central government taxes and Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust strives to provide the highest level of care to patients from the government funding it receives. However, there are always ways in which charitable donations can provide those little extras which can help reduce the everyday stresses and anxieties which may be associated with treatments and illnesses.

Charitable donations complement the resources at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust meaning that things can be achieved more quickly than may otherwise be possible.

How much do I have to fundraise?

There are 2 payment options that you can choose

1.      To pay for the Wingwalk in full and the minimum sponsorship is £100 – The maximum cost of the flight would be a maxium of £399.99 (including the registration fee below) however with more people participating in this event for our charity this cost is reduced!

2.      To fundraise a minimum of £800 in sponsorship which will cover the cost of your wingwalk as well as raising a minimum of £400 for the charity.

For both options we ask you to pay a £100 registration fee upon booking your wingwalk This registration fee is paid to the wing walk company and is non-refundable.

Every extra penny that you raise over the minimum comes straight to us, so please try to raise as much as you possibly can!
